PONCE DE LEON CITY ENTRANCE
Located along the intersection of Ponce de Leon Blvd and Southwest 8th Street in Coral Gables, the Ponce de Leon City Entrance is an elegant gateway into the City Beautiful. Complemented by pedestrian archways that span the sidewalks on the East and West side of the roadway, the entrance greets and guides visitors and residents into the heart of the Coral Gables Central Business District. Key details of a clock tower within the median of Ponce and a total of four concrete lamp posts elevate the status of the Ponce de Leon City Entrance as symbols of the city’s history and passion for elegant and welcoming entryways. Through preservation of George Merrick’s vision, the project is dedicated to the City of Coral Gables.
